"ChaNan brings people home to their innate truth, using different techniques, energetically and pyscho spiritually"

I find it really hard writing about me sections. How do I convey to you, wherever you are through the medium of words who I am?
So I am trying something new here...
At the bottom is my bio and list of my main trainings, there are just too many to list in total!
I care, deeply
I listen, with my senses and my body
I love bodies, landscape bodies, human, animal, plant and water.
I inspire and expire, I find inspiration in the smallest and most obscure things
I hold space really well
My hands love to heal
I am liminal, I love edges, both in ourselves and around us
I create, words spun with cobwebs, weave with passion
I love walking, yoga nidra, moving my body.
I listen to the landscape around me, I build relationship with this land of Wales that I call home, and I am eternally grateful that my bones have been called here.
I often get tired.
I love taking pictures, all of these on this site are my own.
I am a parent carer of a being with a complex and awful illness
I am a lover of my beloved husband
I am an anatomy geek
I am not a teacher to be pedestalled, because I learn from you as much as you choose to learn from me, and ultimately your heart is your teacher.
I honour the multiple and incredible teachers that have been in my life.
I LOVE reading.
I mix my metaphors
I love plants.
I am a wild gardener.
I love rocks and stones
Things talk to me
I am menopausal, and as such have less filters and energy to screen my words.
I love mystery and the dot dot dots of life.
I am human, with multiple flaws, all of which give me rainbows and shadows inside my body.
Yes, I am trauma informed (sorry so overwhelmed by buzz words of trauma etc...)
I have held space and sat around fires of beauty and gateways for a long time, deeply with Teacher plants, until I realised my nervous system, right now, really does not enjoy it.
Above all, I am always growing, changing and breathing. I have a beating heart with a complex blood lineage that asks me to continually remove the borders I build internally to open to the landscapes that are deeply held within.
I refuse to be put into a shape.
If you learn one thing with me, it is to become more embodied, to listen to your own heart, your own teacher and to find your unique way of being you, and the dream you had when you came into this world.
The questions that keep me alive, orientated and aligned are:
How can I become more integrated into our Earth's ecology?
How can I help other humans do this?
By remaining true to this I feel we can then really explore the landscape and terrain of the portals in our bodies - and there are so many internal worlds for us to explore!
Along the way I have woven in beloved herbal forays and foraging. Plants have been with me ever since I made potions in the garden as a child.
Eliot Cowan formally opened my relationship with the Five Elements in accordance with the plant world with his Plant Spirit Medicine training. This ignited a deep respect and love for Ancient Chinese Medicine, which has been my devoted daily companion for the past 20 years as I interact and learn with them every day.
This formed the base of my Kinesiology practice as I worked within the School of Creative Kinesiology. I journeyed along the route from foundation to professional therapist to teacher including somatic body work, felt sense deep dives into body systems. Even though, for now, I have stepped back from my one to one practice, I remain a senior teacher for the School.
The Five Elements have returned in depth and utter beauty as I have travelled the wisdom roads of Lorie Eve Dechar and Benjamin Fox.
In 2025 I completed the brilliant Alchemical Mentorship. This has brought me to whole new place and resonance with the Five Elements and this ancient way of working. Love it!!!
I love how all these bits of me make up my whole... and that whole is continually seeking the other bits of me that are still hidden and are waiting to be unearthed, reunited or refined within myself.
This is a key piece I hold for others at this point: how we weave in as much of ourselves as we can to create a beautiful book of our bodies, not becoming overly focused on one word, sentence, paragraph, page or chapter.
My focus is how we, as humans, can devolve ourselves to become more rooted into Earth: to understand ourselves as part of the landscape around us and, as such, deepen our relationship to the places we call home. The wisdom of First Nations, Indigenous Elders help us to deepen our relationship to our inner compasses and our North Star; their words guide us back to the Garden of our Hearts.
