Through beautifully presented material we explore simple Five Element theory and journey somatically through our body, supported by creative prompts and embodied imagination.
It is the season where,as the trees drop their leaves to leave them standing naked and raw before us, the glory of Autumn colours leave us breathless. This is Metal: that utter awe of "wow, what beauty" before we are faced with the stark reality of the year's death as we head into Winter.
We will discover how Metal supports us with the Meridians of Lung and Large Intestine as they connect us with the grief and awe we carry and where and how we find our value. We deepen our breath, feeling how it carries us to the depths of ourselves and into the vital process of composting and letting go. We learn how Metal and its meridians connect us to the 'as above' to help guide us in the 'so below' - the dark heavy, moments.
In releasing to feed the decomposing process, knowing that what we liberate creates fertile soil in which we can plant seeds.
We will connect treasure that comes with our breath, bringing inspiration and awe.
Metal is our unconscious selves, it is beyond our thought process, and prepares us to go into the depths to meet the dark of winter.
It is here we transform in the still darkness.
Welcome to Metal, inscrutable Metal. It can be ruthless and cutting: it keeps us connected to the tidal rhythms and flows of our breath - our inspiration. It asks us continually what are we releasing, what don't we need to carry into our depths.
